Lymphatic Face Massage

The purpose of lymphatic face massage is to help drain stagnant lymph that may lead to a build-up of toxins in the skin. These toxins can contribute to blemishes, breakouts, puffiness, and uneven skin tone. 

The Sanskrit word for oil is Sneha, which also means love. This is a gentle reminder that as you oil your body, you are also providing it with love. 

How to: Combine 4-6 drops of serum with a few drops of water (optional, but helps oil to spread more evenly) and smooth into skin. Using  the heel of your palm, outer edge of your thumb, or a gua sha tool, massage with 5 gentle strokes from the center of the face towards the edges following the diagram below.  Finish by massaging down the sides of the face and along the outside of the throat towards the collar bones. Place your hands over your heart and pause in gratitude for the self-care you received.

Elevate your bath time ritual with Mera's Soothing Bath Salts. Immerse yourself in a luxurious self-care experience that nurtures your well-being, soothes your nervous system, and provides respite from the day's demands.

How to:
To begin, add approximately 1/2 cup of our soothing Coconut + Rose bath salts to your warm bath water as the tub fills. Light a candle, set the mood with calming music, and perhaps add a sprinkle of flower petals to the water's surface. As you sink into the warm water, release the day's stresses and savor moments of pure self-care.

Enhance your relaxation by offering extra support to your nervous system through soothing breathwork: Inhale for a count of 4 and extend your exhale to 8 counts. Repeat this calming breath exercise 5-8 times. Eventually release this practice and simply watch the rise and fall of your breath.

Legs-up-the-Wall

Indulge in a rejuvenating self-care ritual by combining the calming properties of a clay mask with the restorative magic of the legs-up-the-wall yoga pose.

This gentle inversion enhances blood flow to your face, promoting a natural, healthy glow and aiding in the reduction of puffiness. Simultaneously, the grounding nature of the pose soothes your nervous system, inducing a deep sense of relaxation.

How to: Mix and apply your clay mask.  As the mask sets, find a serene space and transition into the legs-up-the-wall pose, allowing your legs to rest vertically against the wall while your body lies flat on the floor or your bed. 

Combining these two practices creates a harmonious synergy that leaves both your skin and mind feeling nourished and revitalized.
